March 8,1936 Daytona staged its first race strictly for stock cars on a combination beach and public roadway course.

March 9,1901 On this day, a fire destroyed the Olds Motor Works factory in Detroit, Michigan.

March 10,1964 The first Ford Mustang was produced on this day. The Mustang was not released to the public until April 16, 1964......but what a day in history!!!!

March 11,1927 The Flatheads Gang staged the first armored truck holdup in U.S. History on the Bethel Road, seven miles out of Pittsburg, PA. The armored truck, carrying $104,250 of payroll money for the Pittsburg Coal Co. Drove over a mine planted by the gang.

March 12, 1831 Clement Studebaker was born in Gettysburg, PA. He was the founder of the Studebaker Company that was the world's largest horse-drawn carriage company and the producer of the famous "studebaker" car.

March 13, 1969   Walt Disney released "The Love Bug" movie. The film starred "herbie" a loveable Volkswagen bug with a personality. We have a customer who owned a "herbie" ..Mr. Josh Owens...Herbie was like family at Brookhaven...a real conversation car!!!!!!
